a.API5CT: It is an oil casing standard issued by the American Petroleum Institute.
b. API5L: refers to API 5L line pipe, which is the standard for pipeline steel pipe jointly issued by ISO and API.
·The process is different
a. API5CT: The main material is B, X42, X46, X56, X65, X70, etc. Flattening test, tensile test, impact test, tensile test and other related inspections are carried out from raw materials to products before leaving the factory.
b. API5L: It adopts micro-alloying heat treatment process. The production cost of stainless steel seamless pipe is obviously higher than that of welded pipe, and with the improvement of steel grade, such as X80 and above steel grade line pipe, the carbon equivalent is limited.
·Different uses
a. API5CT: Mainly used to transport oil, natural gas, gas, water and other liquids and gases.
b. API5L: The oil, steam, and water pumped out of the ground are transported to oil and gas industry enterprises through pipelines.
