Hot dip galvanizing process of A106 steel pipe

Description:A106 steel pipe is a commonly used seamless steel pipe, mainly used in high temperature and high pressure environments, such as oil, natural gas and other industries.

A106 steel pipe is a commonly used seamless steel pipe, mainly used in high temperature and high pressure environments, such as oil, natural gas and other industries. To improve its corrosion resistance, it is often hot-dip galvanized. The following is the specific process flow of hot-dip galvanizing of A106 steel pipe:

1. Pre-plating treatment process
Pre-plating treatment is a key step to ensure the galvanizing quality of A106 steel pipe, which mainly includes the following processes:

Process  Detailed description
Alkaline cleaning Remove oil stains on the surface of A106 steel pipe
Pickling Use hydrochloric acid to remove oxide scale on the surface of A106 steel pipe
Rinsing To remove the residual acid and iron salts attached to the surface of A106 steel pipe, two rinses are required.
Dip aid Use flux to remove all impurities from the surface of the steel pipe to ensure clean contact between the A106 steel pipe and the zinc liquid
Drying Dry the A106 steel pipe at a temperature of 120-200°C for no less than 150 seconds to prevent blasting when the A106 steel pipe is immersed in the zinc pot.

2. Hot dip galvanizing process
Hot-dip galvanizing is the core part of the entire process. The specific steps are as follows:

Process  Detailed description
Controlling the temperature of zinc solution The temperature of zinc liquid in the zinc pot is strictly controlled at 450±5℃
Transfer zinc solution The dried A106 steel pipes are moved into the zinc pot one by one through the chain and rolled into the three zinc dipping spirals in the galvanizing machine.
Form plating The A106 steel pipe is tilted on the spiral. As the spiral rotates, the A106 steel pipe enters the zinc liquid and continues to move downward.
Proposed zinc solution The A106 steel pipe automatically falls onto the slide rail in the zinc pot, is pushed to the outside by the material-pushing mechanism, and then is lifted out of the zinc liquid by the pipe-lifting machine.

3. Post-plating treatment process
Post-plating treatment is to ensure the quality and performance of A106 galvanized steel pipe, and mainly includes the following processes:

Process Detailed description
blow outside Use compressed air to blow away excess zinc liquid from the A106 steel pipe to obtain a smooth surface
blow inside Remove excess zinc liquid from the inner surface of the A106 steel pipe to obtain a smooth inner surface. The removed zinc liquid is converted into zinc powder and recycled.
water cooling The temperature of the water cooling tank is controlled at 80℃, and the cooling water is pumped to the cooling tower for cooling and then recycled.
test Check the galvanizing quality of A106 steel pipes, put the leaked pipes into the waste basket, and send the finished pipes to the output roller.
passivation During transportation, the finished pipe is sprayed with passivation liquid to passivate the surface of the pipe.
Print packaging After drying, printing and packaging

The above is the complete process flow of hot dip galvanizing A106 steel pipe. Through these steps, the corrosion resistance of the steel pipe can be effectively improved and its service life extended.
